After the big trip They came, went... and did it! But where are they now? DID that big trip change their lives? What to do with all the travel experience and how to use it? How to get a job afterwards! Was the trip the best - or worst - thing you ever did?

I lost all the videos on the SD card that I shot on GoPro

Who had a similar problem? I lost all the videos on the SD card that I shot on GoPro. Yesterday I filmed the final day of my trip and everything worked. Now I put the SD card in the laptop and see that the memory card is empty. Should I return my videos? My friends recommend using a special utility to help recover lost data.

If you would like to get help you should offer more details like:

Which Gopro?
Which kind of sd card?
What computer os?
What kind of cardreader?

And btw have you deactivated in the quick app the option not to erase videos/photos when transfered to the computer?

If you haven`t done this all your data is gone in the moment when the data transfer from card to computer was faulty.

Also there is way existing to connect your gopro via USB to your computer if your card readers fails.

If you're around civilization, google for a shop that specializes in data recovery. Chances are that the videos are still on there (unless the gopro ran a format on the card), but you'd have better odds getting someone with experience and a range of tools to do it.

If the videos are not worth enough for you to spend money on getting them back - then move on.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
