West coast Of Australia. Perth to Darwin

After 3 1/2 months Backpacking through Asia I arrived in Perth in Western Australia. I was running low on funds so I worked for 6 months to save up to further my travels. I ended up buying a 1993 Toyota 4Runner filled the vacant seat with 3 Germans and their luggage and set off up the coast. I recorded the whole thing.
Here is a short taster to wet you taste buds.
I recorded Daily Video blogs of the trip and will post them up over time. Enjoy Guys.

So the First day of the trip gets off to a late start after my power steering pump failed a few days before I was due to leave and being last minute I didn't have time to change it myself so I had to book it in to a garage who couldn't get it fixed until late in the day. After I Pick up my 4runner I have to do the rounds around Perth Picking up my trip mates, all of us were strangers just a week before, and start to head North. Because of the late start we just have time to pick up supplies and make it to our first camp Site a few hours North of Perth Just Outside Lancelin next to the Sea.

2nd day of the trip We wake up to a beautiful View and after making breakfast and packing up we head up the Lancelin sand dunes for some sandboarding and driving in the Dunes. We head down to the beach for some lunch and then head further up the Coast to Find a spot to Camp up for the night.

After a relaxed start to the day waking up overlooking the sea we head up to Kalbarri National Park for a quick look at some lookouts over the Cliffs before heading to Find our camp spot for the night right on the Beach. After watching the beautiful sunset we have marshmallows over our fire before heading to bed.

Waking up on a Beach and having an early morning swim is an amazing way to start the day. After we all pack up we head to Kalbarri National Park again to explore the beautiful landscape that it has to offer and then head on and make camp in a rest stop.

Waking up Early we head into a small town to try find some free showers as we haven't showered in Days and after a quick restock we Head up to a place called Monkey Mia where we watch dolphins swim up to the beach and then head out to a viewpoint and to a Beach where instead of Sand it is covered by shells.

We head to Coral Bay for some Snorkelling on the reef just off the beach. After relaxing for most of the day we Head on up on the most corrugated track I have ever driven, Not having any way to go around them we have to endure the pain to get to our campsite.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
