Selling: Expedition Ready Land Rover Defender 110 TD5

Hello, I’m selling my trusty and beloved expedition ready 2004 Land Rover TD5 Defender 110, 163,500 miles (will go up a bit as I will drive it). After many years of adventures all around the world I’m moving outside the UK and it just doesn’t make sense to hold onto it any longer. I’ve always spent whatever was needed to keep the truck in tip top shape and can pass on phone numbers of the two mechanics that have looked after it over the years. I’m asking £30k ono but happy to negotiate. Located in Gloucestershire near Dursley (UK). And have pages and pages of service history. Sold as Seen.

Vehicle Upgrades:
• Stage 1 Remap for increase power, torque and fuel efficiency
• 50mm Suspension lift
• New in 2022 Old Manu Emu Shocks all round
• New in 2022 Toyo Open Country MUDS (235 85 R16) – have at least 25k left on them.
• New in 2022 Ashcroft Gearbox
• Refurbished disco transfer box with 1.2 ratio
• New in 2021 upgraded steering damper
• Rear wing Extended Fuel tank (up to 110L capacity)
• Rear wing water tank (40L)
• Upgraded HD radius arms.
• Bulkheads and all floors are coated in lizardskin sound and heat insulation (making it very quiet on long journeys)
• Jerrycan holder under drivers side seat
• Driverlodge Poptop
• Full 2m by 2.5m awning.
• Front seats upgraded to Exmore trim.
• Full Solar System (MPPT Charge controller, 210ah of battery storage, 290W Solar Panel, USB Chargers, 300W inverter, 12V plugs)
• 12000-pound Superwinch X9/Winch bumper
• Mud-Stuff Speakers & 300W sub-woofer.
• Full external chassis treatment with Buzzweld 2-part epoxy rust converter with blacklit on top.
• 4 Layer security system (that for obvious reasons I won’t share on a public forum)
• Gullwings on both sides one for kitchen and one for recovery gear.
• Spare wheel with wheel carrier
• Back of the truck is full fitted out for overlanding, can sleep three people (and can supply middle seat).

There are a fair few other little upgrades but too many to list.

The slight bad bits:
• The inside of the chassis still needs treating
• I think it will need the injector seals changing at some point in the nearish future
• One patch on chassis otherwise all the chassis is solid
• The interior needs a bit of paint and maybe a different fabric on the cushions.

I can also throw in recovery gear, fridge, water purification etc but it depends on price and also have a fair few parts etc if people are interested. Can send more pics but please be specific! Thanks, Ben. Call +447942789093 if you want to chat.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
