Currently heading to SA with 1VJ Tenere and in need of overhaul. Does anyone know best man for the job? Would be ideal Joburg or Capetown but will travel.

Hi AC,

There is a bloke in St James (Cape Town)who has a little shop and specialises in XT's.
Unfortunately I don't have an address or anything, so I'll try to describe it to you.

If you're heading towards Fish Hoek, you'll come into Muizenberg, look for the Blue Bottle booze shop on your left.
His shop is a few m further up on your right.
It has no sign or anything, so you'll just have to look itno the shop windows to find it.

sorry, I can't remember any more than that, if you are definitely keen on using him, I can try to get a friend to get the address for you, but it may take some time.

The mechanic mentioned above is a chap called Kim, I only have a mobile number for him 0825134840 this was his number about 2 years ago. He has quite a few older XT's at his shop and should be able to help out with most things. Cheers

I guess this may find you a bit late, but in case youre still looking... There is a guy named Loyd who is a master, he's an ex Yamaha Technician and nowdays he fixes bikes from home for the love of it. He lives in Paarl, 50km outside of cape Town. his last number was 021 8722536.
