Hi new to the forums (1st post)
Just to say i have had my XT600E since september 06 and about 1 month ago i supermotoed it. What i done was to get some rims and spokes and get them lashed to my origional hubs.
What it cost me was £450.00 GBP for Black Excel Tagasako rims with stainless steal spokes made by Talon, and an extra £40.00 GBP per wheel for the spoking up of them. The sizes of my wheels were 17" x 4.25 rear and 17" x 3.50 rear which fits and looks real well. Also as a extra touch ive added a nice acerbis supermoto mudguard.
Things which i also had to do was to put some spacers in the front forks with a thicker grade oil as they were far to soft for the new wheels, and i also found the back end too be too soft and i also used to get a wobble at high speeds, and by tighting the rear shock up it handled a lot better plus it got rid of the high speed wobble.
Also when i dropped the front wheel from a 21" to a 17" the speedo now reads 5 mph out at about 30 mph and about 8 mph out at 70 mph. But i have myself a new digital speedo to fit just havnt got round to doing so yet.
Ill add some pictures as soon as i can get some taken
