early pics

well, looks like its really ready for release now.
wouldnt post it here but for the fact that the thing looks almost as narrow as our 600 singles.
i tried the 700 twin motor in the MT-07 and its such a nice power unit, if i was in the market for a new good mix of long range touring with good off capbility, this would be very high on my list.

that's always a danger, look at all the 1200GS with lacquered over mud spots that you find parked outside fashionable cafes...
but i think the hipster crowd are more attracted to scramblers/steve mcqueen look alikes with pseudo off road capability. The T7 looks like a proper un' and has no pipe wrap

Agreed. I see leakages of that tendency in Georgia as well. Small and awkwardly strange leakages.

Liked photos, bike not that much.
close-up of front end on 2nd photo displays also some awkwardness to me.

It strikes me that this is not a travel bike for 2 up riding; there's no provision for a passenger showing in those pictures, unlike the 700 Tracer.

It's possible, therefore, that there is next to no rear subframe that can carry heavy luggage.

It will be interesting to see how KTM deal with these points in their competing product.

agree that this is no XTZ750 super tenere in terms of room, but if you look at pic 4 it seems there is quite a bit of saddle left behind the rider. the two hefty bolts under the seat would be to attach a rear carrier IMHO,

I like your optimism.

If a subframe for a pillion passenger can be purchased from Yamaha and fitted then the exhaust will have to give way to the rear foot pegs.
Perhaps there will be a subframe suitable for supporting the weight of luggage only?

Anyway, my pillion passenger wouldn't spend much time on the seat showing in those pictures (and I had to learn a long time ago that if my passenger is unhappy then she has lots of ways of making my life uncomfortable .

i found a neat solution to the same problem: bought my girlfriend a DR350

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love.
