New Honda Transalp 750
Finally its here - the new and much anticipated Honda Transalp 750.
https://www.motorcycle.com/new-model...irst-look.html
Looks good on paper me thinks although a gas tank of only 16,9 liters is a bit disappointing imo. 21/18 spoked wheels, wet weight of 208 kilos is about the same as the Tenere 700 and the Tuareg 660 but the Transalp have more displacement and power. And its a Honda so reliability should be top notch.
Edit: Just noticed that the exhaust pipes goes under the engine and by that will be exposed to the ground if riding at uneven surfaces and thats not a good thing I guess..?
What da ya think guys and gals?

Yeah, I have seen the video from the Milan Show, it looks really nice.
I was going to put my deposit down on the CB500x this week but I am not too sure now. Although I don’t know when it will be out in Thailand.

It will be a great overlanding bike for sure. Won't buy the first years model tho. I also want to see the maintenance interval and test how the engine feels.

Nice looking bike, but tubed tyres. What is so difficult about tubeless tyres? That was one of the main reasons I went with the kTM 790.

The Transalp looks very good. We are getting spoiled for choice in the middleweight adventure bike market.

I have made spoked wheel tubeless. It's not rocket science.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
