New Guy...hoping to make friends at HU Virginia

Hey kids!

I was born and raised in Zaire, now known as The Democratic Republic of the Congo, where my parents worked at the time.

I'm a fun, easy-going, friendly middle-aged man who still thinks he's in his late teens! I've ridden bikes since I was 15, and owned about 7 various models over the years. I stopped riding for about 20 years after I got married. But recently "the bug" hit again, and I find myself with a new 2-wheeled machine in the garage! She's a beautiful 2013 Honda CB500X. I've got stubby legs. This little lady fits me like a glove, is smooth as butter, and a blast to zip down the road on. :-)

I have traveled what some would call "a lot", though I would call "not enough". I've been passionate about photography since high-school, when I first started winning awards. My camera has taken me to the most amazing places, and given me passport to photograph some incredible folks...from Olympic champions, to presidents.

Like so many of you amazing folks, I hope to one day have my own RTW adventure...along the way, capturing with my camera the amazing people and places on this beautiful planet we call home! In the shorter term, I'm trying to put together a trip to Panama and back (where a friend of mine lives) in early 2017. I'm planning to attend the HU Virginia gathering April 28-May 1. Hope to see some of you there!!!
