Any information on shopping a bike from the UK to Dallas?

Hi everybody, noob here.....as title says can anybody give me information on shipping a bike (most likely a 125cc) from the UK to Dallas in spring of 2021?

Thanks in advance.

Airlines that offer motorcycle shipping by air freight typically charge a flat fee for a motorcycle, generally around USD $1,500 for Europe to North America.

That might be a bit much for a 150 CC motorcycle.

Have you investigated calling a moving company ("removals company", in British English) to see if they could move it as household goods?

A more practical alternative might just be to buy a 150 cc bike in America, at your destination. I say this because the cost of round-trip shipping will probably exceed the price of a new 150 cc bike.

That is some good advice for the O/P. In the US/Canada you can fairly easily buy something like a Ninja 250, CB300, XT225, etc in good mechanical order for maybe $2000-$2500 US. That might be the easier way to go, and then of course at the end of the trip, you can sell the bike for close to what you paid for it if it's still in good shape.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
