Paperwork for Moroccan Registered Motorcycle needed for Morocco-Mongolia Trip
Hello everyone,
I am an American living in Morocco. I recently bought a Honda CBX 250 and have it registered here in Morocco. The registration is written both in Arabic as well as French. I am planning a trip from Morocco to Ulaanbatuur. My planned route is:
Morocco-Spain-France-Italy-Slovenia-Croatia-Serbia-Bulgaria-Turkey-Georgia-Armenia-Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan - Uzbekistan- Kazakhstan- Russia - Mongolia
I may also toss an excursion into Tajikistan/Kyrgyzstan in there if I have the time. I was wondering though if I will need any special paperwork for my bike? In particular the registration. Will I need an international registration, and if so where can I get one. If not, would an official translation of my registration work? Is there any other specialized paperwork (beyond insurance and the like) that I might need? I don't think I need a Carnet for any of the countries but I may be mistaken.
I am going to try to sell the motorcycle once in Mongolia. Has anyone had experience with this?
Thank you all for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!
