Hello,

I have question about paperwork

I have 2 citizenships : French and Canadian, and my motorcycle is registered in Canada.

Until now I travelled with my Canadian Passport (Central America, South America, Africa)

Now I plan to go to Mongolia from Europe to Mongolia by Stans. I would like now travel with the French one (easier and cheaper in Stans countries, and my Canadian one is almost full).

On my 2 passeports my address is in Canada.

Do you think that it could be an issue?

Where is your address? Don't know about the Canadian one, but a French/EU passport should just have your place of birth on it?

Can't see it really mattering though, given that it is your nationality not your place of birth that determines things like Visas

I have dual nationality, usually travelling on the less contentious (non-UK) passport, but with a driving licence from a different origin.

Personal idea on this subject;

Better to make preference according to visa procedures with the countries you are going to pass...

I guess France has more visafree agreements with Asian countries or visa fees are cheaper..Also saves your time during paperwork at gates..

For eg. French passport holders visafree to Turkey,and Canadians 50 usd. for e-visa and 60 usd. for the gate one..

Probably the questions you will meet will be, how much is this, whats maximum speed, how long will be your trip and finally may be can we have a photo together, etc....

And yes I'm agree with you, the less contentious is my French passeport...

My questions was more about the concern to drive a motorcycle from Canada with a French passeport.

Do not worry about it at all. Since in motorcycle registration documment is your name, all will be fine.
I have same situation and never had any problems not on boarders, not with police.

I assume U mean registration in motorcycle passport?
In Europe and in Asia is no expiration date. I don't think anybody will pay attention to it unless you will show them and explain what it's mean...

Hello Erik,
I mean paper registration for my motorcycle. In Canada (Québec), you have to pay each year for the registration, so you have a paper with a date, including VIN number, plate number, name....

I guess, here in Europa, we call it Road Tax. We don't have paper for it.
I think no body care if on this side of pound if you have payed registration in Canada or not.

I've been travelling for about a year with a UK registered bike, using a US passport. Never was an issue in Africa or Europe. Heck, sometimes my drivers license and my passport don't even match. As long as the documents are valid you won't have a problem.

So I think it's ok for me also, my only concern is about the date on my registration paper.
