We are planning our trip from New Zealand to U.K then on to Norway and Finland and then worry about which way back would like to chat to any one who has perhaps ridden these countries.

Lots of useful info on Norway here

https://ridenorway.com/

The National Tourist Routes are also a good tool to help with route planning

National Tourist Routes in Norway

I 'did' Norway (including North Cape) in 2014 but felt i rushed things a bit so went back and revisited the south west corner (the fjords) in 2015. Still need to go back to the see the Lofoten islands sometime as well.

Key things to remember with riding in Norway :

1. You will not cover as many miles as you expect to - speed limits are low and roads are often twisty. You will also be stopping regularly to take photos !

2. Hotels, meals out, and alcohol are expensive - take a tent - campsites are cheap and wild camping is both legal (within certain guidelines) and free

Any questions just ask - I'll try to help

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
