Sportsters
Yes, I use to have a Sportster. Actually, I had a few, a KH900, the grandfather of the Sportster ;-), a 883 Hugger and a "plain" 883.
Very nice bikes and, since they have a better frame for two up and less vibration in the latest models, I may buy one again some day.
The main reason I sold the last Sportster was that my wife and children didn't like to sit on the back for a longer trip because of the vibrations. They were very uncomfortable. The new Sportster seems to be much better in that area. Passenger pegs are no longer mounted on the swingarm but on the new vibration isolated frame.
An advantage of a Sporti for a longer trip or even a RTW is that it is very fuel efficient but you would better fit a larger tank then the standard Sportster tank.
