Australia to europe 2016

Hi guys,

we will be leaving Queensland (Australia) on our V-Strom end of July next year shipping from Darwin to East Timor and then west to Java, Sumatra, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia etc.

crossing over to India we will take the way across Myanmar with a tour guide. I contacted already the tour guide company http://www.burmasenses.com and got prices between $1200 and $1900 per person depending on the amount of people in the group.

Is anyone out there interested in going the same way around March 2017?? Could be earlier is well as I haven't worked out the exact time frame yet.

Looking forward for lots of replies...

me too

Hi Guys , my thoughts exactly, in the UK at the moment , was looking for a bike to go sth for the winter but not enough time balancing cost against time used before going back to Aus,, but this is achievable , buy a bike in Aus and prepare for the trip,
have researched a few bikes as opposed to the bikes ive had around Europe and have come down to 3 , Tiger 800, Suzuki V Strom 650, or the K,L,R , seat height coud be a problem with a BM or KTM and the Tennere

Any comments would be great :

Davo

Australia to Europe

Mario,
I was planning on leaving around May 2016 trying to get the cool weather in SE-Asia and arrive in Europe for Summer. I am easy and can go in July. Where are you in QLD? We could organise a get together for a local ride + coffee and chat!
Let me know.
Christophe.

Hi Timo,

when are you planing to leave next year? My plans changed a bit and I will leave end of my how it looks so far. Are you interested in joining and shipping from Darwin to East Timor? We could share a container for the bikes.
