Hi Peter,
Here's the plan:
departing Belgium on 12th september. Rather directly going to Bulgaria and from Turkey on slowing my pass. Doing some sightseeing in Eastern Turkey (Erzurum, Van lake region, Dogybayazit,...) into Georgia and back to Turkey to take the ferry in Trabzon to Sochi in Russia.
Making a detour to Elista (if I still have the time) and then easy going back home via Ukraine & Poland.
Having 5 weeks the time for this trip.
I'll be riding on a no nonsence Kawasaki Z750 (so, no much off roading for me)
Always in for a drink and a chat somewhere on the road
cheers
Peter

Paris to Petra
Here is the plan for the Southern part of our upcoming trip:
Sept 9-16 depart Paris, heading towards Croatia coast
Sept 16-19 crossing Northern Greece from the direction of Lake Ohrid
Sept 19-24 in central Turkey
Sept 24-27 in Syria
Sept 27-Oct 2 in Jordan
Oct 2-4 in Syria
Oct 4-9 in Turkey following Southern then Western coast
Oct 9-12 crossing Bulgaria-Romania-Serbia
Oct 12-17 back to Paris
No doubt this plan will go all pear-shaped early on, but this is what we're aiming for. If anyone will be in those areas and fancies a , let us know.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
