Germany to North Cape (Norway)
Hi travellers,
Wish to travel to the North Cape, Norway, this summer. Duration is at least four weeks, better six, departure not before mid of June.
The route is not fixed at all, but I've distinct visions about the surface of the streets. That means wherever it's possible to avoid the E-roads, rather to take as many as byways, even some toll roads and several ferries. Namely the Peer Gynt vegen, the Atlanterhavsvegen, the way across Aurlandsfjellet and through the Grimsdalen valley, the Aursjøvegen and not least the Trollstigen. (BTW, I took some of the dirt roads two years ago on my way back from Inari (FI) and it was awesome.) The remaining distance to Nordkapp should be chosen by weather or mosquito pollution.
To refund the money investet in tolls and fees I prefer camping or low budget accommodations.
I'm 44, male and my bike is a F800 GSA. I'm completely flexible in terms of departure time and starting point if somewhere in northern Poland, Germany or Denmark, respectively southern Norway if you're from Britain and want to take the DFDS cargo vessel. It would be nice to hear from anyone as long as the main goal mentioned above is agreed.
Cheers,
Holger
