Post Traveling from or through AZ to HU Yosemite? event

Hello All....

I'm riding my KLR from Phoenix to the Yosemite event. Was planning on a overnight in Laughlin NV (hotel), and either push on though to Yosemite the next day or camp out somewhere around death valley.. I planned on avoiding the Interstate where possible..

My route isn't firm at all..and can be adjusted if anyone is also attending via Arizona.. and would like some ride company..

Me Too!

Hey, I'll be riding my R1100GS from Phoenix to the HU event in Yosemite! I'm pretty flexible on the route too, although I'd really like to ride the coastline.

I planned on leaving Monday, the 22nd and staying at the USA Hostel in LA the first night, thats about 6.5 hours ride from here. I have a buddy who works there, and it should be a good time. Safe parking for the bike and secure spots to keep your gear on site. Awesome hostel

Then I wanted to ride the 1 up the coast, since I've never been to Cali and have heard its beautiful. Probably guerilla camp or hammock it on the 23rd somewhere around Santa Maria, thats about 6 hours again, depending on how far I feel like riding that day.

Day 3 was gonna pick up from there and finish off the ride to Yosemite, maybe camp somewhere cool near the coast that night, maybe camp onsite at the fairgrounds.

If that sounds cool, def let me know, I'm down for a riding buddy!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
