Talkum powder in your tyres
I just received this tip from a vintage scooter expert. Put a two teaspoons of talkum/Baby powder inside your tyres (this is for 10" wheels, so more for your average motorcycle tyre). This is supposed to counteract condensation in your rims, preventing corrosion of your rims that ultimately can lead to punctures of your innertubes. Wether this 5 cent tip really works or not, I'm not certain, but I can't see how it could be of any harm to your wheels or your wallet. The rims of the ride i will be using in Africa are made of steel, and rust is a definate issue.
Can anybody collaborate on this tip?
