Post Gut Responses Wanted!! Be Honest...Would you be interested???

A Bit About Us: Stefan (Dutch) and Marie (Filipino) met in Bangkok, Thailand about 7 years ago. We fell in love, opened a successful fitness business and got married all in the same year!

6 years, 1 cat and 2 thriving fitness studios later we decided to sell it all and follow our dream to travel around the world on our motorbike (BMW GSA 1200 Triple Black)

Our journey started on the 3rd of June 2017 from Den Haag, Netherlands and we have been on the road ever since.

But to finance our continued travels we're thinking of creating a simple easy-to-follow fitness info-product specifically for riders but we’re not sure there’s a demand or interest.

Any feedback is welcome!

If you don’t mind, could we ask for 5 minutes of your time (as fellow motorbike riding/traveling enthusiasts) to fill out our survey?

Our short survey link is:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZGS5LNN

Thanks again for taking the time!

All the best and Happy Holidays,
Marie & Stefan

Thanks for those that took the time...

Since my survey is anonymous I'm not 100% sure if anyone from here took the time to answer my survey. But I'm pretty sure I did get some replies from here as one of the comments mention the "The HUBB"

...Thanks a ton to those that did take the time...

Cheers!!

It would be great to succeed in such a thing, however there is a lot of competition in these kind of things, I'm not sure if it will work out. Aiming them at riders could sound as a benefit, but I think the market demand is not so big. It is really a niche market.

I'm not sure what the fitness studios got sold for, and maybe it is not so important, but you want to look for something that generate (passive) income.
If you would get your fitness studios run by somebody else (hiring a manager instead of you) and still make you money, then that would count as passive income.
Or putting money in stocks exchange. Okay, buying separate company stock while being in the road is a bad idea, since if a company fails you lose everything. So you want to invest in ETF's that spread the chances but still make profit.
Of course there are so many other ways.

It means changing from the model of saving money to spend it on a trip, to a model in which you don't spend the saved money, but have it generate money for you. Then keep the cost down of travelling (which usually means slower travelling), and hopefully you can match it. If you succeed in that, you can travel for as long as you want.
But obviously it has to be a large sum of money to succeed in this, and it is not easy to gather that.
Maybe there are some options for you if you still have large amounts of money, and your aim is to travel forever.

Hello

I don't see demand.
On a short trip, 2-6 weeks, it's holyday no need for extra fitness.
On a long trip fitness might be a good idea, but money is tight and if needed, on Youtube you get it for free.

Thanks everyone for you input. We've been traveling for 6 months straight and we've managed to stay in the budget we set for ourselves. We're interested in starting an online business because it's so strange to see money flowing out but not flowing in. After the feedback we received here and from our survey we decided not to invest and follow through with our idea but decided to look into something else...
Thanks again!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
