BUT the basic rules of polite and civil conduct which everyone agreed to when signing up for the HUBB, will still apply, though moderation will be a LITTLE looser than elsewhere on the HUBB.

Hubb forum on an android phone

Hi, I'm dismayed, and a little bit irritated at how difficult it is to use the forum on an android phone. Am I missing something? It's supposed to be for travellers, so easy use on a phone seems quite an important feature.
To see a good one look at smbcc forum.

Question

In what way is it difficult to use? I'm reading the Hubb and posting this right now with Android...

I tried Tapatalk and it showed the adverts clearly but not the forum posts.

I'm doing this on my phone, but the text on the forum pages is unreadable unless I zoom in so far that I can only see small portions of the screen. And the section that I zoom in to moves around erratically. Its impossible to select a link or forum thread because the text is too small for my fingers.

It does not need to be like that, other forums are better. The sbmcc seems the best.

Tapatalk

I used tapatalk for ages then it sudenly started showing loads of adds despite paying for the app. I stopped using it and haven't tried again for maybe over a year. Sadly it means my visits to the Hubb are less frequent. Regarding using on android phone, yes I agree it is a bit of a faff, it doesn't appear to be "mobile responsive", but not easily done I know having just "updated" my own website. Or should that be totally F*** up my website!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
