I'm the same, except my wait has been almost 13 years (apart from a handful of shopping trips into town on my wife's scooter).
I'm waiting on a new DL650XT V-Storm. It's arrived in the showroom and I fly in in 2 weeks to check it over and sign the registration documents (because I work away from home overseas).
