When I was a spotty 16 year old at grammar school in England ,in the seventies ,I used to hide my 200cc Dot scrambler in the bushes and give rides to fellow sufferers ,or pupils as we were known, during midwinter cross country runs in exchange for at the pub .
As I was smart enough not to get caught ,in retrospect, I must have learnt something at school.
Other antics included trying to leap the canal on a 98cc bike,it failed, but we always had a rope attached to it so we could pull it out of the water.
Then there were ¨¨adventure¨¨ rides on the canal towpath with our homemade cannon to shoot at a dilapitated boat that belonged to a guy jailed for murder. It did sink eventually.
I once raced ,and beat ,a Ferrari Dino home from the pub on my Norton .
I know they are not the fastest of Ferraris but what the heck .
Life has been rather boring of late .
