Additional LED brake light?

Has anyone installed an additional rear brake light that is bright and flashes when braking?

Yes.
Very easy to do just connect to the same wires at the brake light.

Keep it as high as possible to grab attention.

Been working well for me.

Thanks redtape, ordered, strobe module and light 70euro, give me something to this week waiting for shitty weather to pass, if it helps with just one tailgater/traffic light dreamer it'll be worth it.

I just got one of those flexible LED taillight strips in India when my original one died. 350 rs ($5.30) including installation and it's stuck right on the number plate. It does extra turn signal flashing as well so you can REALLY see when I'm going to turn. I'm not sure how legal it is back in the western world but totally worth it especially how pitiful my stock taillight was - I wish I had done it earlier!

I didn't, but I can answer from the electrician's side, since this is my field of activity

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
