Lost paperwork

Eleven countries without a hitch, now a screw up entering Chile from Peru. Everything went smoothly, great border crossing outside of Arica, Chile. Left the Aduana on the Chile side, stopped at the gate to show documents, I handed over the three documents that I was given at the Aduana, two copies of the motorcycle import papers and a declaration paper. The gal took all three and waved me on, I hesitated thinking I would get something back, but was waved on. Now down the road, the next day I will head back, thinking I need a copy of the import paper. Any thoughts or advise? Worried because I do not speak Spanish.

Not sure Marco because my bike is Chilean plated but normally once the bike is in that's it regarding the paperwork. Sometimes I have a copy but other times nothing. You and the bike should be in he computer system so hopefully there shouldn't be any issues.

Perhaps different for motorcycles, but apart from Brazil, all the other countries in S America issue TIPs and expect to see them when you leave. Done in duplicate, one for them and one for you.

If it was done entirely by computer, why would they give you paper copies.

I crossed Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia Argentina and Uruguay and I got every time a piece of paper for temporary import of the bike.
But I have never been in Chile.
From my point of view, I think you should got some. Maybe for police or I you plan to exit at a border post in the middle of nowhere.

Few weeks ago I crossed to Chile from Argentina. I have one paper for my bike.
If needed, I can check the name of that paper.

Yes, you should have one on you while you are in the country.
I think all the info you usually have on that document is in the system.
I am not sure if all border posts are connected to the symstem buy now. You might be better off if you don't use one of the small borders.

Long story short I lost my aduana, i have my title/ copy of the registration is it possible to get a new aduana? In Chile,Antof
