COLOMBIA: suspending TIP and storing vehicle?

Hi,
Has anyone had experience suspending their TIP for a few months in Colombia and storing their vehicle while they leave the country?

I broke my fibula and will be off the bike for a little while. Since this means that I'll miss the weather window to continue further South to Ushuaia I am hoping I can store my bike here in Colombia until August-ish time and pause my TIP while I return to Australia and then come back to continue on my journey.

I've heard this is possible in bonded warehouses but trying to find direct information and/or contacts.

I think the easiest thing to do is to cross the border to Ecuador or possibly Venezuela if it is open and cancel the TIP, then leave the moto parked at a covered pay parking storage facility and come back and you can re-enter the country and get a new TIP, valid for as long as you are legally allowed to be in the country. I crossed once at Maicao that way and was able to suspend the TIP even through I didn't officially enter Venezuela just went back to Colombia, and also at the Ecuador border it is pretty much the same. On iOverlander there are some comments about parking lots on the Ipiales side and some hotels will also allow that even though it is officially still inside colombia no one really seems to care. It also seems that they do not match the entry and exit and cancelations on the TIP's to the motorbike or to a specific passport. Many people leave without officially canceling the TIP and get a new one on re-entry without any issues. It also means if your TIP expires while inside Colombia and you manage to reach the border without being stopped by the police chances are you can officially exit yourself, not hand in the TIP and then enter Ecuador without any problem. Though obviously better to follow the rules and hand in the TIP before expiry and park the bike then come back later, though it's not super conveniently located. Probably quicker flying to Quito and taking a 4-5 hour bus to Ipiales than travelling by bus from Cali to Ipiales or flying to Pasto and then taking the bus. There may be a way to officially pause your TIP while inside Colombia but I have found DIAN to be quite disorganized and highly bureaucratic and every time you ask you get a different answer and most likely it would require leaving the vehicle at a bonded warehouse which is more expensive than regular parking. I think there are some reports on iOverlander with pins near the Bogota airport discussing this
