2008 KLR 650 (Argentina, Chile, or anywhere close)

Saludos to all you soon-to-be motorcycle adventurers!

I am currently finishing up my trip to Ushuaia, Argentina and would like to sell my 2008 KLR 650 sometime around the first week in May. I plan on finishing the trip in Buenos Aires but could potentially sell the bike anywhere in the area (Ushuaia, Santiago, La Paz, Montevideo, Sao Paulo, etc). The bike is registered in California. I speak fluent Spanish and am willing to help you out with the transfer process as well as any other trip planning/logistics issues.

Here are the basics on the bike:

-2008 in great condition!
-48,000 miles currently on the clock
-Detachable Pelican/Hardigg Stormcase Panniers
-Scottoiler System
-Heated grips
-Touring windshield
-Happy-trails engine guard
-Motech bashplate
-Center stand
-Upgraded seat
-Tool tube with full tool set
-Extra parts... front sprocket, extra tubes, spark plugs, oil filter, cables, and an assortment of other things

The bike has been fantastic and hasn't skipped a beat. I take care of her well, and maintain the oil, filter, chain ,etc. regularly. You can see pictures and read about the bike and the trip at El Burro Terco.

This is what I pack on her... not all included, but let me know if you would lack anything (camping gear, gps, etc.) and we could work something out.

Price: $3500

Please let me know if you are seriously interested.

Email is the best way... kyle.d.holloway at gmail dot com

Keep the dream alive!

-Kyle

Hi
We don’t sell or buy motorcycles, locals or even less foreigners ones what its illegal in Argentina. In no way we can be involve in commercial transaction between travellers and we don’t allow this sort of business in our premises.
We didn’t provide documentation or legal services on the purchase of any vehicle in Argentina.
You can make some research here in the HUBB, there is plenty of information for buying or selling in Argentina.
Regards

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
