Crossing Myanmar from Thailand between mid september to November

We are a french couple want to cross Myanmar around september/October/november 2017 from Thailand by car with our 4*4 Land Rover Défender, our dates are flexible and we would like know if someone is interested to share the crossing we us for get it cheaper with the agency.
We have already contacted the agency Guliver Myanmar.

Oh Man, I just caught on about the Govt's requirements for overland bikers to use 'baby sitter' guides to get through Myanmar
.., what a bummer, as planning a solo mission through SE Asia, then onto Myanmar then India.

I know rules are rules - so I am guessing it's not possible to ride through Myanmar without guides then ?

.., what about bypassing them at smaller boarders can you still get in, or even just having them hold your hand across the boarder then continuing on without them has anyone tried this, is it possible or not ?

Today I heard that motorcyclist can only exit through the boarder they entered, I'm trying to find out if this is enforced, really puts a spanner in my plans!!

Ok just found out that currently that is not the case, (see previous post)
some so called professional travel advisers i'm sure just make stuff up!!
but you do need a guide, so far Burmese Sense (asiasense etc) seem the best option

Here is a link to a Facebook page where currently many riders are having hassles with the Thai Side.
Many riders at present are experiencing situations on both sides of the boarder in real time and adding updates as they unfold .

The border at moreh looked like it might be trouble without a guide. Very chummy. I also heard from a couple of cyclists that weren't able to find a way to get across. They might not have been trying too hard though. Some signs at the Myanmar border just said you needed permission from the tourism department. Customs might have some questions though.

An update. I'm flying with my bike into Yangon, Myanmar about October 14. I'm using Burma Senses to do a short ride (12 days) to enter India at Moreh.

(Flew out of Bangkok after 2 1/2 years on the road 18 months ago, so returning to my ride)
