Your favourite Canadian local eateries for road trips?
Hiya.
Am prepping to work from the road for a month (August), driving from the Maritimes and back to BC, and staying on Canadian roads with some exploratory detours for curiosity's sake. Camping about 99% of the time and camp cooking about 95% of the time with occasional meals at some cosy local place. That's where you come in.
Got any recommendations for your cross-Canada absolute favourite eateries that you frequent on your rides/travels? You know the kind: hearty meals for cheap, good coffee, friendly folks, maybe a little out of the way outside of major centres or in a remote town somewhere - essentially, the kind of place you'd eat at after riding for half the day and want some good food and low-key ambience with "local" character. Interested in all provinces. Not interested in a lot of fried, fast or "pub"-y foods, thanks. Maybe more for breakfasts and lunches. Sadly, no time to explore Nunavut, NWT, or Yukon.
Would normally ask this on FB, but deleted my account. Many thanks!
