RUDEC is a Cameroonian registered nonprofit that is striving to empower low income communities with medical, educational, job creation and social support. The programs help people help themselves become healthier, better informed and involved in their communities. If awarded, the motorclyce would benefit up to 25053 people in a year (10053 are children) in isolated, rural Bamenda Highlands area of North West Cameroon. A handful of RUDEC staff along with volunteers from Europe and the U.S., lead health promotion initiatives (especially malaria and HIV/AIDS), ensure basic health needs and education for 53 destitute orphaned children, and teach environmentally friendly ways of producing food and earning income to villagers. Currently medicine, animal feed, crops, building materials and volunteers are transported by trekking up to three hours one way or by unreliable and hired motorbikes or taxis traveling on undeveloped roads. A motorbike would hired transport costs and increase the amount and frequency of humanitarian aid that can be delivered to the villagers. The Motorbike will help generate income for subsistence living villagers by carrying products for sale out to markets in cities. And most importantly, save lives by carrying people to the hospital in need of treatment or emergency care.

We wish to have contacts with people from all parts of the world who would like to drive their motorbike up to Cameroon and donate it for charity work and fly back from Cameroon.
