West Africa extension
In October this year I'm heading off to Egypt, via Turkey, Syria and Jordan. My original plan was to head south in Morocco and continue on to Senengal and The Gambia, but a meeting with another bike traveller who'd planned the Egypt trip made me see the advantages of joining with him. He's an Egyptian resident of the UK and a good guy, so the advantages are obvious to me. My thinking is that I may, just may, continue on from Egypt through Sudan, Chad, Niger Mali, and Senegal to the Gambia, returning to UK by the northerly route of Mauritania, W.Sahara, Morocco and Spain. I'm throwing this out for advice re the travel conditions through these countries in November/December and the difficulties to be considered. I should add that after Egypt I would be travelling solo, as my fellow traveller needs to return to the UK at October's end.
