ASB Challenge

October 2020 in Algarve:
ASB (Algarve Senior Bikers) had to cancel all group rides, due to Corona restrictions. Normally there is one group ride per month. That I also a charity event.

The Restrictions varied between.
a) Drive wherever you want, but very limited number of people
b) Do not drive outside of your own council during weekend.
c) No driving at all permitted, except for essential reasons.

Some members of ASB did an incredible job to create the ASB challenge.
They picked 21 interesting points. The points them selves,or the routes there were interesting. The points were spread over the whole of Algarve. To give us an opportunity to do nice solo rides. On wonderful roads and to nice places. And at the same time get to learn more about the region. They provided map, excel sheet and GPX file. Thanks to you who did this work.

Later they did another set of 21 more points.

They also created ASB challenge photo contest.
With the requirement that the photo should be from one of the points, including the driver or the bike.

I do not write any stories about the trips. But just provide my sets of photos. One set for challenge 1 , and another for challenge 2. I have processed the photos to lower the resolution and lowered the quality. To save bandwidth.

For every place, there is
a) One photo from the place with number and name
b) One photo of my bike at the place (No selfies)
c) 1-5 additional photos from or around the place.

I provide link to the photos. One link each for challenge 1 and 2. I do not upload the pictures.

I hope that you will enjoy the beauty of Algarve.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
