Hello All, the picture is of Ellie in the early 90's, where she travelled through Africa with a previous owner, 30'000 kms in one trip. I purchased her nearly 4 years ago & she was in need of love, attention & money, so i started re-newing some of her equipment & tidy her up, the list is below:
Re-paint
Replaced timbers/insulation that were rotten due to a water leak in the bathroom.
Replacement Thetford Cassette toilet with spare cassette.
Re-lined shower area Geo panel, new drop down sink with shower attachment, new 12v light.
Re-lined, re-insulated/vapour barrier,new skylight, all new 12v lights throughout
Re-boarded the bedroom area, replaced insulation/vapour barrier, new skylight, bespoke window blinds/insulation, 7x4 memory foam mattress.
New propex water heater, 13 litres of hot water, in about an hour.
New oven, used about a dozen times.
Replacement 4 burner gas hob.
Propex blown air heating thermostatically controlled.
27" 12v television.
Extra 12v sockets.
Re-covered Dinette cushions.
New Waeco MDC90, 12v fridge/freezer.
New 125 litre grey water tank, slung underneath.
New secure storage rear of truck.
Viewing platform on the roof/ chequer plate doubles as storage.
3x 135ah leisure batteries.
Both tanks dropped & new pipe installed.
Re-conditioned steering rack.
2 Saab turbo seats.
Personal plate E11 VCO
What's she got
2.5 intercooled turbo diesel.
2X 120 litre fuel tanks, yes 2x 26 gallons, one containing vegetable oil the other containing diesel, giving her a range in excess of 1,600 kms, Pollak switch-over system.
Front winch.
4 wheel drive, 2 wheel normally, 4 high and low selectable, locking back axle and freewheeling hubs on the front, various sand ladders mounted on the rear, getting stuck is not an option.
125 litre stainless steel fresh water tank,access in the floor of living accommodation, totally secure.
200w solar panels.
Re-fillable calor gas it 11kg and a 6kg back up bottle.
Lots of storage for provisions.
Dinette converts into a near double bed, 2 in over-cab bed & room for a child on camp bed as well.
Twin bike rack.
8.25/16 tubed tyres on split rims, a spare & new tyre on the roof.
Sand ladders, tow cable & a bottle jack that lifts her & tyre levers just incase.
Class 4 MOT
MOT till 19th March 2018, 253,000 kms approx 157,000 miles.
THE BITS YOU MUST READ
Ellie is 26 years old, so please do not expect a New one.
In no way am i implying that she won't need work, her age dictates that.
Ellie weighs 5.2 tonnes, so you will need the correct class of licence to drive her.
Ellie as she is known has developed a fault, it is a constant knock that is coming from either the rear axle or possibly the transfer box, because of this fault she is being offered for sale as spares or repair, no warranty is being implied or given, you will need to come and view her to ascertain the cost of repair etc, i have adjusted the price to take in the fact that it will cost you money to rectify this fault.
I drove her 30 miles to get home, i cannot guarantee how far that she will drive home, you pay your money and take your chance or you get her towed home, bear in mind that she weighs 5.2 tonnes so the RAC won't do it !
