Motels, fuel and cafes all the way along the Trans Siberian Highway - generally no more than about every 100miles (160km).
Now it is tarmac all the way from Vladivostock to the Atlantic Ocean which makes much of it a rather boring monotonous journey. How many trees do you need to see?
Don't even think of weighing yourself down with a tent, stove etc unless you are going on remote roads/tracks. A sleeping bag is always useful if there is only floor space left!
Learn to read the Cyrillic alphabet and simple Russian courtesy/question phrases.
