Is Viktor still the "go to" guy in Barnaul ?

My wife and I will be passing through Barnaul in June, and the same as most travellers it will be time for an Oil change.

I've not seen much about Viktor for a while, is this still his website ? Мотохаус22 - Мототехника: ремонт, продажа, запчасти - Главная страница

My Russian ( with the help of Google) is not giving me a confident answer.

A Facebook or VK link would be handy.

Thanks, but I was looking for confirmation that someone has used him recently. The site has not been updated for a while. And no mention of "Viktor" I want to make sure I have the right site/person before I send random messages :-)

A bit late, I realize, but if anyone else is wondering, I did find Viktor today and he fixed everything that ails my KLR. He doesn't speak English, but the other person there does, so communication wasn't an issue.

Their place is a little tricky to find, even using the waypoints. You need to go to the back of the building, then up this tunnel/ramp and to the left, where they are located at the end.

Also, if he is busy / not there, Andrei is in the next building behind and he is recommended as well.

Cheers,
Dominik.

I visited Viktor yesterday. Actually this Motohaus22 is a company next door that delivers oil and parts and imports bikes to Russia from Japan. The lady of Motohaus22 speaks good English and translates if needed. Viktor only accepts cash but you can pay with a credit card via this lady. She takes 3% comission in that case.

Viktor says: "in Russia, no problem". He really seems to know what he is doing. Changed motor oil, filter, fork oils and seals and checked the valve clearances of Africa Twin.Cost only 14000RUB (includes oils and parts). Not very expensive I'd say.

Viktor still the best - June 2018

Just updating in case anyone is wondering, we went to Viktor in June 2018 and he's still the best. Did some work on our KLR650s, and while there we met a guy on an Africa Twin, and a guy on a gxr also getting work done. The guy is incredible, I could just sit and watch him work all day. So if you're passing through Barnaul, go to him even if it's just for an oil change. The experience is great.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
