Saskatoon Sk - St. John's NL

Hi

Can i do Saskatoon SK, to St. John's NL and back in 27 days with out feeling rushed. What happened is I was going to do it July 29 - Sept 4th, things changed and my GF book an event for us Aug long weekend. SO now I have Aug 9 - Sept 4. So it cuts my trip back 11 days. Last year I drove to fast did Saskatoon to San Fran in 11 days also took a long way around to do it. Did about 7000 KM in 11 days. I did rush back too quick that time.

So it would be around 12,000 KM in 27 days with trying to stop to see the sites. Now there is not much for sites for me in the first 1200 or more KM. More sites for me in the Maritimes. As I have never been past Montreal.

Should I think about a change of plans, and go some place closer for me, or just say go for it.

Thanks

I rode the coast of Nova Scotia a week ago, and set a pace of 600km per day. I felt it a bit rushed and would have enjoyed adding another day as it is a beautiful province, and I found I'd stop and talk more often than I was expecting.

Newfoundland is beautiful, and I'd Budget a day at the Viking settlement, another day or two at Gros Morne, and again around Corner Brook, etc.

It's a lot of ground to cover, and I don't know what you enjoy stopping for.

Have a look at my blog for an idea of Nova Scotia, and the Cabot Trail, as well as Labrador and Newfoundland, PEI and select parts of New Brunswick.

Northern QC is beautiful, from Tremblant through Shawinigan right and down to the shore of the St Lawrence and Gaspe itself .

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
