When comming down from alaska there is a gravel road you can take part way ( Demster highway I think ) or just go on tarmac.Expect some construction along the way. Either way go to Jasper and then south to Lake louise. That is a very majestic mountain road all paved. From there Banff is a nice tourist town. Johnsons canyon is a nice place for a coffee in the area. From lake louise you can go to radium and on south to the border . Alternative and equally as beautiful is Lake louise to Revelstoke and down to Nakusp. There is a real nice place for lunch ,or a , right on the lake in Nakusp and then head generally south through any road from there. Anywhere 90 miles east of Banff and you are into the prairie. Hug the mountains and the coast for your best riding. Highway 101 in the states is very scienic coast road from Portland to Frisco.
