What bike for Morocco

Yamaha xt 660 tenere, Triumph tiger 800 xc or Honda African twin?

Very little sand riding, due lack of experience but want to get off the tarmac. I'm thinking 30 to 40% off roading and 60 to 70% tarmac once again due to limited experience.

Riding up from Spain, around 6 hours on the motorway to spend a week or two in Morocco.

This will be my first adventure bike and trip so loads more questions to come about Morocco so any information or questions would be a god send

All will be fine. Though I'd go orange!

Been on GS's a couple of times, 1290 in April, will be a 790 next time.

Sand is a small part of Maroc, and avoidable if you want to.

As Ian says, all good bikes for Morocco, very little sand there and easily avoidable.
And well worth avoiding too, unless you have something much lighter with the right tyres (or are a brilliant rider).
Trails are stony so tough tyres and good suspension help.

Thanks! Do yourself a favour and get a copy of Chris's MO3 ASAP, it's an invaluable source of information and inspiration regarding Morocco.

And far more routes, waypointed and described, than you'll get round to doing in half a dozen trips!

Take whatever bike makes you smile the most ! They're all good but in the end it really depends on what you like and your budget... I'll go with the lightest because I prefere agility over confort. But I regret that the minute I enter the highway !
Don't forget spare tubes and you'll have a lot of fun !
