Anyone seen a Pegoso Trail near Marrakesh since Saturday 2/5/15

David Bailley, HU Traveller David Bailey's Ride Tale , has not been heard of since Saturday 2/5/15 by his wife and she has contacted me with her concerns.

He was last known to be heading north to Marrakesh from Taroudant, on his Pegaso Trail. He is a type 1 diabetic, if anyone has seen him or knows of his whereabouts could they please drop me a PM.

I guess I best be careful what I say here but, yes, I'm fine.

thanks for the concern, I had sunday without a wifi, monday a wifi that wouldn't connect and suddenly Maroc telecom will not conbect my phone.

Sorry I offered your hand holding services there Bruce! I'm coming home early now because my ankle is no better, not sure if something is broken, so piste riding is out, even going through a busy market is a bit scary roads are ok though!

thanks again for the concern!

Dave:

I am in Zagora now, planning to ride to Agadir on Wednesday May 6, then north towards the Tanger Med port and eventually onwards to Europe.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you in any way. If necessary, I can amend my travel plans to meet up with you earlier. I'm riding a ST1100 and have additional cargo capacity if you need to offload anything.

You can contact me via the Private Message function of this forum.

Michael,

thanks for the offer, being a long way from home and knowing there are people about wiling to help is a heart warmer.

I am doing fine by myself, made it into Fez with no problems, will spend a couple of days here and then be off to Chef, then leave Tan Med on 9th May.

Go easy

Hi Dave:

OK, great to hear all is well with you. I'm in Essaouira tonight, I'm working my way northwards up the coast and will likely be taking the ferry to Spain from Tanger Med on the 9th.

Let me know in a few days what time of day you have in mind for the ferry trip. Like you, I'm a 'solo traveller', but I think we could probably put up with each other's company for the duration of the ferry ride across the Strait of Gibraltar.

Michael,

that sounds a great idea just as long as it doesn't put you out. It would be great to speak to another solo traveller. All I've had so far is people scoffing at me saying my bike is too heavy or too Italian (appart from two nice Belgian dudes on gs 12s who were very chilled and relaxed).

I am aiming to camp at Chefchouen campsite on then night of the 8th and make it to Tangier Med by 11.30 on 9th for the 13.30 Interferry crossing. Its a terribly boring crossing so a good chat would be great. Let me know if you want to do this and I'll keep my eyes open. I think I will be looking fairly unique!

cheers Dude,

Dave

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
