Morocco April 2019 on motorcycle

Hi,

I'm new to this forum

Me and my friends going to Morocco on motorcycle from UK and looking for some advice.

As I know, needs bike insurance, anybody know how much for 12days and where to buy?

What about whether in high Atlas this time?

What to watch out for?

What documents are needed?

Any recommendations for safe place in Western Sahara?

Any advice or information will be helpful!

Many thanks

Insurance is available at the port. It’s sold in 5, 10 and 30 day block. There’s a recent thread that gives the latest prices

The Atlas are fantastic in April, flowers are out and maybe still some winter snow left on the high peaks.

Western Sahara is safe security wise. Not much in the way of formal campsites but basic hotels in most towns, including the worst I’ve ever stayed in in Smara

Paper work requirements are the registration docs, insurance, D16 temp import form, passport and drivers licence

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
