August - ridiculous?
Hello all,
I've got a couple of weeks at the end of July into August free which I am planning to do a cheeky little road trip. Morocco has always been on my bucket list, but getting time out, right bike, experience to do a trip and money etc has always been a bit of a mission.
My thought is to ride down through france/spain and catch the ferry from Algeciras adn spend 5 or 6 days bimbling about Morocco. My only sticking point is, I'm a little worried that it'll be hotter than satans ballbag.
All the reserach i can find is that it'll be around 35 (tolerable) and peaks up to 45 near the Erg. Though this doesn't particularly sound too horrific, i'm just a bit worried about the bike in that sort of heat (BMW hex head).
Also, how do you guys store enough water to do a couple or 3 days out in the wilds? I've got a 2 litre camelback, and was thinking of some sort of expandable bag (wine box bags i've used before) but just wanted any tips you might have!
Cheers
