Meet in Portugal next year (2016)

I have an idea of doing a meet in Southern Portugal next year.

What I have is. I'm going down there this year in the Spring. So I'll ask if I get enough people inquiring. What it's not is camping in a field. This is all flat's with roof over your head's. Off street parking behind locked gate's. Bar and food. Some of the best road's around. Pool if it's warm enough. With transport in to town.

When? that's the problem, He's not going to let it go at the height of the season. So it's going to be Spring, or Autumn. The other thing I can see is, he's not going to let the flat's out for less than 7 day's. Up side, With a push you can get four in. Two bed's and two sofa bed's. The cost is for the flat. So more share cheaper it will be. Ball park figger is round 10 euros a day for four people sharing. I may get reduced. It's just out side Faro. When I get back, I'll have more for you. If I get enough people wanting to go.

I've just re read that. Kind of write that wrong. The way it sound's is 10 euro's per day for the flat. It's round that price per person. If you get four. But I'll get a better price when I get back.

Right I'm getting some interested. I'm going there this year, will be there on the 15 of May. So it's more or less how many I get now before I go and ask. One thing I don't want to do is , talk to him in the Spring and then call it off latter on. As that's not going to make me his best friend.

If any one would like to join me down this year? Let me know. Cost is more or less how you spend money. I'll be taking just over a £1,000. That will see me out and I'll bring some of that back. I all way's take more than I need, as a just in case, you never know when you may need extra cash.

I will be leavening the UK on Sunday. Hope to be there some time Friday. I'll try and post on the hub one day at the end of this week or start of next.

Right, A bit of an up date. I've not forgot.

Have had problems over the winter. A bit of in and out of hospital. So gave my trip down in last autumn a miss. If any one is interested in the spring of this year. Dates will be. 21 May, a Saturday. That's the day I hope to get there. From then on. It's up to you. I will be there for four week's. Leavening on about the 21 of June.

So I need date's for the best time to suit people.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
