1995 Pan European Mileage

Hi,
I am new here and I live in Staffordshire England.
I have a 1995 ST1100 Pan European with 100608 miles on the clock and the bike passed its yearly Mot last month with no problems at all.
Is this the same for other old Pan riders?

I do not understand why you ask. That's a Pan.

Sorry, I could not help.

There was a discussion about who's in the 100k miles club a few months back, although it seemingly degenerated into a slanging match and was closed prematurely so it may not not have reached its natural lifespan. How something as simple as a mileometer reading can "inflame passions" is beyond me but, for what it's worth, here's the link:

Sold my 94 pan a couple of years ago with 108,000 miles on the clock. Rode all year round so had to keep tabs on corrosion under the brake caliper seals and some of the electrical connectors . Standard exhaust rotted. Painted the swingarm on tyre changes. Fantastic bike. Just a little heavy for me.

Ok, I'll be the elephant in the room.

Not sure what your angling for here? The Pan has a good reputation for doing high milage, so as a tourer would be fine.
Bottom line is just make sure your breakdown covarage is up to date and will cover your needs.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
