Uvex Carbon Enduro parts & Shoei Hornet views?

Anyone know where i can get spare parts for my Uvex Carbon Enduro helmet? I broke the peak last week and today the widget that holds to visor and peak in place broke. I've googled and tried the original supplier without success.

If i cant get parts i am thinking of ordering a Shoei hornet. I have this Uvex for dirt bike riding and a Shoei XR1100 for touring thats due to be replaced (5 years old). I am wondering if 1 helmet could do both jobs (and want to pick a brand where i know i can get spares in future).

Cheers
Andy

Found a spare widget in the 'chin curtain' bag that came with the helmet and got chucked into the spares box 4 years ago!

Would still be interested in views on the Hornet though still need to sort the road helmet.

Hornet gets good reviews and Shoei make excellent lids. I'd say if it fits you won't be disappointed.

Thanks.

I am going to take the UXEX to Africa and replace with a Hornet on my return I think.

I started with Arai but switched to Shoei when i just couldn't get on with the Arai visor mechanism. I have also had visor issues with UVEX. Piece of cake with Shoei so they would be my preference.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
