Petrol filter F650Gs

Does any other petrol filter fit into BMW 650GS?
Maybe form a car like it works by the petrol pump?
Cheers Albert

The 650 GS is fuel injected. Your pump and its filter is in the tank. You need to filter your fuel BEFORE it's in the tank.

There are special filters you can buy that fit inside the tank fill hole.

Putting inline filters on FI is tricky. The fuel line is pressurised and cheap filters either restrict fuel flow or they simply fall apart under pressure.

Bikes like the 1200GS have an inline fuel filter also. So look at one of those.

However, this might stop anything damaging your Injector but not your pump.

I am in Brasil, could wash some dirty fuel out and it works again. Never know how long, but i will get a spare part somewhere for safety! Fuel pump fits from the car Fiat Uno and works well!
Could not find any petrol filter whats fitting in!
Thanks for your help! Will put an other filter ahead of it!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
