Tenere 700 in West Africa now, Australian registered

2021 Tenere 700
At time of posting I'm in Ivory Coast and it has 51,000km on the clock. Heading east/south until I sell it, or ship it! Rode here from India, tired of travelling.

USD $6,000 / CFA 3,500,000 / AUD $9000.
Selling cheap as shipping back to Australia is not cheap, and I don't want to be extorted by Africans once they have my bike.

Current Carnet De Passage expires 2nd January 2024. I know someone travelling with a bike and Carnet in someone else's name, without issue. Registered in VIC although I could change it to SA once I'm back, have done before.

Has about USD $2500 in accessories including a 25L petrol tank.

Bike has been faultless and will go at least another 50,000km.

If you're not already aware, over 90% of the large motorbikes sold in West Africa are stolen from other countries, so you're unlikely to find anything here that you can ride far. Unless 250cc Indian/Chinese.

Best to contact me on WhatsApp +61418559177

Cheers,

Simon

I ended up riding the bike to Cape Town, and shipping it back to Australia. So i'll delete this thread if that is possible. Cheers, Simon.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
