There were no problems with the bikes and all maintenance were done by us on the way, except rear brake pads are gone at the Dakar. During the long interruption I guess the batteries are gone and need to replace.
The bikes are registered in Germany and we will sell them with German plates. The TVIP for both bikes are valid for 45 days after the end of emergency rules which are now called out for 31.12.2020. This means TVIP (temporary vehicle import) is good up to 15.02.2021. Best is to sell to international traveller which will leave Peru within valid of TVIP. There are some good information on the web how to do this safety and legal.

See pictures attached.

Hello, the TVIP (temprary vehicle import) for foreign traveller can be easy extend up to 90 days. You need to cross the border e.g. to Ecudaor and go back to Peru next day. The TVIP is the visa for vehicles and you need this paperwork. It´s a very important paper.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
