2014 Yamaha Tenere 250 $3500 Chile/Argentina late March early April

Me and my fiance are currently travelling from Colombia to Chile and will be selling our bikes either in Chile or Argentina depending on what's most convenient. The Tenere currently has 30000KM on the odometer but due to the setup to odometer reads 14% more than actual kilometers so actual kilometers are more around 25000km. We're unsure how many more km's we will be riding. It's safe to say it will be closer to + 30000 actual kilometers

The tenere is a great motorcycle for a large trip due to it's light weight, easy access to parts, reliability, and easy for mechanics to work on as it shares it's engine with 5(!) other motorcycles. The tenere speaks for itself as being a capable ROTW motorcycle and for good reason. A great all-round bike that does everything well. The bike has been modified to be more road oriented as the majority or our trip was on-road and it now handles curves with ease! It has a 17" rear tire and 18" front allowing for lower seat height and more stable cornering on road. Off road it still handles great due to the high clearance, light weight and good suspension.

Other extras include:

Many HID lights to scare off any south american driver or for tunnels/night driving. You will not have a problem seeing in the dark!
crash bars with foot rests
Skid plate
Acerbis hand guards
Phone mount
Throttle assist/crampbuster

All the service has been done on time or before the due date. Simply put we don't want to break down during our travels so we try to do everything we can to make sure the bikes are in top shape! The bike has been a fantastic performer and we have replaced the swingarm pivot bolt, rear ball bearings and new throttle cable to keep it running in top shape.

We also have a Royal Enfield Himalayan up for sale and can make a deal if you would like to buy both. The Mosko Moto bags could potentially be sold with the bike for $4000 altogether.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
