Price Drop '04 XT660 in Malaga Spain - South African Plates - 900 Euro

Hello,

I rode this XT660 up from Cape Town to London in 2017, then in 2019 attempted to ride back down the Western coast but got as far as Morrocco and turned back for a job,
Now Im stuck in South Africa with an extended lockdown and the price of storage is slowly outwheighing the value of the bike,

Bike is in storage with IMT bike in Malaga, needs new rear brake pads, picked up a leak in rad in morocco, quite cheap to replace whole unit on ebay otherwise a repair job looks feasible (small crack on top right corner), and I would do the clutch plates (all within spec as per repair manual but I replaced the cable and clutch springs and still feel her slip slightly in 1st - quite rideable as is but this is what I would do).

Bike has 100,000km on her - hence the price - but is still going strong with amazing compression, proper thumper.

I did a full service including timing, valve clearance, bearings, swing arm inspection, fork oil, etc etc etc in the UK in 2019 before the last trip down to Morocco.

Regarding the SA plates, name change is a fairly simple process and involves me engaging a fixer on your behalf, they will then issue a Traffic Registration Number (TRN) attached to your passport number allowing a foreigner to own a vehicle, and issue a registration certificate and license disc with your details, which I would then recieve and fedex back to you, the last time I did this for a brazillian friend who bought a landcruiser in Germany and drove it down it cost about 200 or 250 euros for all the steps and the courier,

Let me know if you are interested and I can innundate your email with various video and images of all the tools and spares that are with the bike,

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
