Yamaha XT660Z (2009)

Hi all.
Just putting some feelers out. I am thinking of selling my 2009 Yamaha XT660Z with a a bit under 50,000 miles on the clock. Many mods (aftermarket exhaust, seat, luggage racks, Adventure Spec bash plate/engine bars, barkbusters, battery warning light, headlight protector etc.) Located in London, UK. Not ridden as much as it deserves in recent years as I have 2 other bikes in the stable. Wondering what sort of price would be reasonable. It has completed a London to Kuala Lumpur trip and a jaunt around South America (as well as several European rides). By no means in pristine condition as has had a lot of hard miles; but runs well.
Cheers.

Somewhere between £2-3,000. If you search the model on eBay you'll get a pretty good idea what people are asking. We're coming into spring so hopefully demand will be reasonably strong.

eBay currently has two 2009 bikes for sale; both for considerably more than I paid for mine second hand about 13 years ago. Is it becoming a highly sought after cult classic??

It's certainly gained something of a cult following and owners seem very loyal to them. That doesn't mean they have reached the heady status of "collectable" though The dealer bikes will be £500-1,000 more than comparable private sales and don't forget asking prices and selling prices aren't necessarily the same thing

I bought mine (2012) late last year for £5,000 but that was very low mileage (6,000) in very tidy condition with luggage and quite a few useful farkles.

OK. If anyone on here is interested; I am putting a price of £2,500 on the bike. I think this is a fair reflection of the condition/mileage. Located in North London, UK. Please PM for more details of mods, pictures etc.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
