Visa for Nigeria - Advice needed
Hello everyone,
i am travelling by motorbike in West Africa and i am currently in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) . I need to get a visa for Nigeria and i am aware of how difficult it is here. I also know that In Ghana , my next destination, is difficult as well.
As far as i know, Bamako (Mali ) and Ouagadougou (Burkina ) are the best places to obtain the visa with no issues.
But they are not on my way so i still want to try in Abidjan first and if it does not work i would eventually consider to go To Burkina , which is more on my route than Mali (i am going towards south).
-so i would like to ask if somebody can confirm that Ouagadougou in Burkina is a sure bet to get the visa. I woul not like to drive all the way to there and then fail to obtain it. any recent info would be great.
And i am sure everybody can confirm the Bamako is the ideal place for this.
-as i said, i still want to give it a try in Abidjan.
i am going to make ready a lot of papers, Including a letter of invitation from a lawyer that i know in Nigeria and a presentation Letter from another nigerian pastor that i know. However none of those, considering also the fact that i am not resident in Ivory coast, can give me the certainty to obtain the visa. has anyone ever tried to pay for the visa online (in advance) on the nigerian immigration website and book an appointment at the embassy? should not this make the process smoother?
i am aware that i can still lose the money not getting the visa
Thanks

Jacopo - hope you have had your head down tonight, it's all been kicking off in Abidjan!!!
Not heard of many successful tries at the Nigerian Embassy, not sure of your nationality.
Might be worth going there and seeing how the mood is ... you never know! Bamako is the easy one at the moment! Can't tell you about Ouaga!

Jacobi,
Can't help you with the visa but I am heading north, right now I am in Benin, next is Togo, BF and Mali.
By the way, I also ride a bike and have just rode across Nigeria.
May be we could meet up somewhere? And exchange info.
Cheers,
Didier
